Spicy & Sweet Nuts & Stuff Nibble [gf] [v]
Ingredients
3 Cups Nuts & Stuff
¼ Cup Lightly crushed Brazil nuts, raw and unsalted
¼ Cup Maple syrup
1 Tbsp. (Heaped) Pomegranate molasses
1 Tbsp. Organic coconut oil
2 Tbsp. Cayenne pepper
1 Tbsp. Cumin powder
1 Tbsp. Ground ginger
1 Tbsp. Ground Cinnamon powder
2 Tbsp. Sea Salt (to your taste)

Preparation & Cooking 40 Minutes
Method
  • Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
  • Combine - maple syrup, molasses and all the spices and seasonings - well in a small mixing bowl.
  • In a separate bowl, combine Nuts & Stuff and the Brazil nuts.
  • Pour the liquid mixture (from step 2) over the nut mixture (from step 3) and stir until ingredients are thoroughly coated.
  • Now, prepare a large flat baking tray with a layer of grease-proof paper.
  • Pour the nut mixture onto the baking tray and spread the ingredients evenly ready for toasting.
  • Reduce the oven heat to 250 degrees and place the tray in the oven.
  • Check the tray once in every 3-5-minute interval, turning ingredients to achieve an even toasting all over. Do this for approximately 15 – 20 minutes or until nuts and seeds are golden brown.
  • Keep a really close eye on the tray during the baking time as the nuts and seeds can burn very quickly, depending on your oven.
  • When lightly toasted and golden brown all over, take the tray out of the oven and set aside to cool. Once cool enough, nuts will be crisp and tasty.
  • Serve on its own or with other snacks, enjoy with your favourite drinks and great friends!
  • Store in an air-tight container at room temperature and it’ll last for ages.
